Trust Your Doctor but Not That Much Be Your Own Best Healthcare Advocate edition by Reina Weiner Health Fitness Dieting eBooks Reviews
- Read this book before your next Doctor appointment! Great tips on how to communicate more effectively with your Physician. The “Smart Advice†was really helpful too.
- The ideas in this book will be easy for you to put into action on the next visit with your doctor. Improve your outcomes each time you interact with anyone in the medical community attempting to administer care to you.
Your guide is an author who has definitely been there and done that. As a consequence of her own personal and professional experience she shows how to get the most from a system that many at times is callous and impersonal.
Between doses of homespun wisdom, dashes of common sense, and much insight this book is winner. I put a couple of the author's ideas to work right away because I coincidentally had meeting scheduled the day after I read the book. Those suggestions made my interaction with my doctor much more productive than it otherwise may have been.
Thank you Reina for taking time to share your wisdom so the rest of us can benefit from your experience. - I found Reina Weiner's book to be extremely informative with lots of good advice and things to consider when seeking a doctor for either yourself or a loved one with specific health issues. I also appreciated the way the book was structured with a listing of "Smart Advice" and points covered at the end of each chapter. I'm very grateful for this book and the medical insights it has given me in reading it. Thank you, Reina Weiner.
- Ms. Weiner's book is a true roadmap on how to navigate the medical system. Not only is this great for dealing with bad diagnoses, but also for your regular yearly well visits. Having been in the medical field myself for many years, I agree with all of her common sense, important steps to treatment. She writes in a people friendly way without the medicalese that can be so frightening. Do yourself a favor and read this book!
